Charity
The Michigan Chapter of NATP has an active
committee dedicated to furthering the charitable activities of the chapter.
Ongoing charitable activity on our part enhances the public image of the chapter
and its members.
Each year, the chapter selects one or more
charities that it will dedicate itself to supporting that fiscal year.
Preference is made to support charities that operate at least statewide, rather
than only in a particular local area.
Solicitations for donations are made a part of chapter activities and the chapter historically matches member donations up to $500.
The 2008 -2009 fiscal year charity is again the Food Bank Council of Michigan, which provides services and support to the various food banks across the state. Cash contributions to the Food Bank Council of Michigan qualify for the 50% MI Food Bank/Homeless Shelter credit - make your check payable directly to the charity to claim this credit.
The chapter raised $1,525 in member contributions during FY08.
Visit the Food Bank Council of Michigan website.
If you have suggestions for future charities, please submit them to our Charity Committee Chair.
